Job summary

Critical Loop is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join the Product Development team. You will build and wire prototype electromechanical systems and run development tests, moving between the shop floor and the test environment to turn early designs into repeatable, high-quality builds.

You will read engineering drawings, set up instrumentation, troubleshoot issues with engineers, and ensure proper data capture and documentation for all builds.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical drawings, schematics, and BOMs to build from prints.
• Hands-on assembly and wiring of electromechanical hardware.
• Set up bench/HIL test equipment and collect traceable data.
• Follow safety practices around high-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype electromechanical skids and subassemblies from drawings.
• Perform HV/LV wire routing, crimping, terminations, and connectors.
• Set up and run bench/HIL tests with inverters, sensors, DAQ, and meters.
• Document nonconformances and provide feedback to improve designs and processes.
• Maintain lab tools and ensure calibration is current.
• Collaborate with Electrical & Controls Engineering, Production, Test, Quality.
