Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America in Greene, NY is seeking a Product Health Engineer to improve the reliability and performance of energy systems used in industrial electric trucks. You’ll investigate issues, lead RCA/CAPA, and drive engineering solutions for lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, chargers, power electronics, and vehicle interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level engineering degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years posting graduation in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or material handling environments.
  • Strong system-level thinking across electrical, mechanical, controls, and software interfaces.
  • Experience with RCA, CAPA, and data-driven design changes.
  • Experience with product testing, data analysis, failure investigations, and design improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own system-level product health and sustaining activities for launched products.
  • Investigate field issues from diagnosis to RCA and CAPA implementation.
  • Improve reliability, performance, cost, and TCO through design changes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical interfaces, packaging, thermal and structural concerns.
  • Define requirements, test plans, and analyze test/field data for reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop documentation including specs, test procedures, and change requests.
  • Support third-party testing and regulatory requirements (UL).
  • Communicate progress and risks to management; may lead small projects.
  • Travel domestically up to 20%.
