Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Florida is seeking an Operator Energy System to monitor and operate plant equipment at Walt Disney World Resort. The role focuses on maintaining chilled water, hot water and compressed air production while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Requirements include 4+ years of industrial equipment experience, a Florida driver’s license and EPA certification. The position is on-site with opportunities to work in varied plant environments across the resort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience operating industrial equipment.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• EPA certification or completion within 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, diesel generators, boilers and compressors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Validate operation of equipment and adjust to optimize performance.
• Sequence equipment to meet production demands and improve efficiency.
• Respond to emergency conditions and restart the facility as needed.
• Perform routine water treatment tests and operate chemical equipment.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and PPE as required.
• Work on elevated platforms and in confined spaces across the facility.
