OT on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Contract Contingent Basis located CONUS - Washington DC Across The Mid Atlantic Region supporting a branch of DOE that leverages science and technology to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges, advancing climate and energy policies through strategic studies and policy analysis supporting analytical capabilities.. Seeking Energy Systems Modeler candidates with relevant Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Clients such as DOEOP. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Builds predictive models to evaluate energy systems and inform policy and operational decisions.
  • Align with Modeling Support Functional Area initiatives as a Energy Systems Modeler that Designs and executes industry-standard models to evaluate energy systems, technologies, and infrastructure..
  • Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, as well as Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services and support for The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP).
  • These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
  • Design and execute models for energy systems, technologies, and policies to provide actionable insights.
  • Energy Systems Modeler is responsible for key functions such as developing analyses, supporting initiatives, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • The role of Energy Systems Modeler involves supporting DOE initiatives with analysis, collaboration, and strategic implementation.
  • Design and execute models for energy systems, technologies, and policies to provide actionable insights.
Qualifications

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications Candidates for Building Energy Demand Modeler typically require a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
