Role Overview

As a Energy Systems Modeler and Analyst, you will play a critical role advancing our energy modeling capabilities and supporting our customers in achieving their sustainability and operational goals. Reporting to the CTO, you will develop and implement analytical tools for standardized products and bespoke customer needs.

This role is ideal for an experienced energy modeler who thrives in startup environments and enjoys cross-functional work that supports founders, investors, and team members alike.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and integrating with market data APIs for power prices, carbon intensity, and weather forecasts.
  • Implementing a host of time series analysis techniques including AI/ML-driven methods for predictive maintenance and energy forecasting.
  • Developing and deploying techno-economic analysis (TEA) models to optimize facility operations and project sizing.
  • Collaborating directly with customers to refine and deploy solutions tailored to their project development and operational needs.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience and/or advanced degrees in energy analytics and techno-economic analysis, preferably in an early-stage or growth-stage company
  • Working knowledge of energy markets and different types of novel energy technology
  • Comfortable managing multiple analytical projects at once
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently in a low-structure, high-trust environment
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across remote, distributed teams
