What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Facilitate transmission planning power flow studies, stability studies, and economic analysis
  2. Develop and support tools in Python, SQL, and/or MS Excel to automate the study process
  3. Evaluate production and interconnection cost, curtailment strategies, and project optimization
  4. Monitor real-time energy pricing and market delivery options
  5. Support renewable interconnection stakeholders and project management

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
  2. Power flow modeling experience with PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN, MUST, TARA, and/or PowerWorld
  3. Understanding of electricity market policy and rules
  4. Experience working with ISOs and/or RTOs
  5. Working knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy operations
