Torus is a Utah-based company advancing sustainable energy storage. We seek an Energy Storage Solutions Engineer/Advisor to lead early-stage design, site visits, and customer communications.

You will assess electrical infrastructure, plan interconnections, and support cost-effective installations with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. Ideal candidates have a degree in EE/renewables or related fields, 5+ years in system design, solar design knowledge, NEC familiarity, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, renewables, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in system design and site evaluations in commercial/industrial/renewable energy.
• Knowledge of solar DC/AC collection system design.
• Familiarity with NEC and renewable energy codes.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies and industry trends.
• Ability to analyze energy consumption data and power billing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site assessments for project planning.
• Develop preliminary system designs for early-stage discussions.
• Serve as primary contact with customers during design and installation.
• Translate complex technical systems into clear concepts for customers.
• Analyze energy consumption data to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from design to implementation.
• Validate installations meet plan; travel to customer sites as needed.
• Regular daytime travel within Utah; occasional overnight travel may be required.
