Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises in Edison, New Jersey, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, implement, test and maintain software across RTOS, Linux and Windows platforms for utility-scale battery power control systems.

You will collaborate with electronics, mechanical and systems engineers, participate in requirements, test, debug, and automate testing, with experience in Python, C++, Docker, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or allied engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years programming for Linux and Windows environments.
• DevOps engineering experience with deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience testing software developed by others.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with knowledge of version control.
• Familiarity with software packaging for x86/x64/Arm and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Implement software algorithms within a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers.
• Participate in requirement understanding, definition, and stakeholder negotiation.
• Understand existing projects and contribute to troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Independently develop software with efficient logic and data handling.
• Test and debug software using debugging tools to meet standards.
• Contribute to automating tests with in-house tools.
• Design, debug, and test simulation programs and tools.
• Support certification testing and safety-standard compliance.
• Document and maintain design documentation.
