Jupiter Power, a Chicago-based energy infrastructure company focused on utility-scale energy storage, seeks a Preconstruction Associate in the EPC Department to support technical evaluation, design, and execution across North America. You will collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams, review engineering packages, and help manage risks and timelines to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the energy industry.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to work in a dynamic environment with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate design and engineering standards with external counterparties.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to align with project goals.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Serve as liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Review detailed engineering design packages for compliance with Jupiter’s specs.
• Conduct development site visits to support constructability evaluations and permitting.
• Support project financing by responding to lender due diligence questions.
• Prepare engineering scopes of work for build-transfer and balance of plant agreements.
