Job summary

GE Vernova invites students to join the Energy Storage team for an internship focused on applying storage technologies to datacenters and utility-scale projects. You’ll learn sizing, configurations, and evaluation methods alongside experienced engineers, contributing to customer-facing technical content.

You will develop skills in system configurations, modeling, and presentations, with a path to grow within power systems and analytics. Open to US students, full-time term, pay $21–$34/hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related technical field.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, or energy conversion principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
• Available to commit to a full-time internship schedule for the designated program term.
• Eligible to work in the United States for this internship without sponsorship by GEV.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of system configurations for Energy Storage System applications in datacenter and utility-scale projects
• Assist in calculating and analyzing energy storage performance scenarios to evaluate sizing constraints
• Research emerging energy storage technologies, market trends, and industry standards to support application engineering decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, and engineering to contribute to customer-facing technical content
• Participate in technical discussions and help document site requirements and use-case needs
• Help prepare technical presentations, application guides, and internal reports for stakeholders
