Job summary

The position offers a budgeted salary of $120,000–$135,000 per year, with full benefits. It involves full-time work at UC Santa Cruz Main Campus, with a hybrid schedule and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of building and construction practices and codes.
• Ability to administer a construction contract through all phases and manage budgets.
• Comprehensive project management skills for complex projects.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible construction PM experience.
• Knowledge of at least five MEP systems.
• Proven problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience with energy efficiency projects and payback analysis.

Responsibilities

• Create project schedules and budgets with status reporting.
• Ensure plans meet program and campus standards.
• Review cost estimates and establish schedules/budgets.
• Lead client/stakeholder schedule and budget reviews.
• Coordinate funding transfers with units and offices.
• Close out projects and hand over OA manuals and drawings.
• Manage construction contracts and contractor activities.
• Coordinate design teams and oversee documentation and approvals.
