The Skills Coalition in Washington State seeks an Energy Services Director to lead utilities, electricity, gas, and telecom services. This executive role requires deep experience in energy sectors and a visionary approach to managing a new Energy Services Department.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic energy initiatives while guiding a diverse team toward sustainable growth and customer-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years in Senior Management roles within electric or natural gas utilities.
• Strong financial, strategic, and operational management skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Energy Services Team: Oversee day-to-day operations for electric, gas, and telecom services.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Energy Supply & Infrastructure: Plan and manage long-term energy strategies focusing on sustainability and decarbonization.
• Crisis Management: Lead response during major utility outages and ensure swift recovery actions.
• Budget & Financial Management: Manage the department’s budget and capital investments.
• Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the department at industry events and with external organizations.
