Servist Energy is a specialized Solar O&M Technical Asset Management Firm serving commercial and utility-scale Solar PV | BESS | EV Charger portfolios. We provide full lifecycle support from project consulting and commissioning to preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, corrective service, performance optimization, and end-of-life decommissioning. Our integrated approach combines deep field expertise with advanced testing and data analysis to reduce downtime, improve energy yield, and protect long-term asset value.

Role Description

Servist Energy is hiring Energy Service Technicians across multiple experience levels (Level 1–5). These are full-time, field-based roles with regional travel. Technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of solar PV systems. The role offers a structured career ladder, from entry-level support roles to advanced leadership positions with hands-on training, certifications, and long-term growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) and testing on Solar PV | BESS | EV Charger systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and equipment failures
• Complete corrective repair work and assist in system upgrades
• Document findings using company software (e.g., Service Fusion, SolarGrade)
• Communicate professionally with clients and support teams
• Follow safety protocols and use electrical testing equipment appropriately
• Mentor junior technicians (Levels 4–5 only)

Qualifications by Level:

• Level 1 – Entry-level; strong work ethic and willingness to learn. No Solar PV | BESS | EV Charger experience required.
• Level 2 – 6–12 months of experience in solar or related trades (electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Level 3 – 1–3 years of field Solar PV | BESS | EV Charger or equivalent experience. Comfortable working independently and leading a crew.
• Level 4 – 3–5 years of Solar PV | BESS | EV Charger experience with ability to lead small crews. Advanced testing and diagnostic skills.
• Level 5 – Senior technician or field manager. Expert in troubleshooting, performance testing, and job planning. Strong leadership and client-facing skills.

Preferred Skills & Traits

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on field experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic mindset across PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure
• Clear communication and accurate field documentation skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and on active job sites
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, NABCEP, EVITP, manufacturer-specific training)
• Familiarity with inverters, combiners, BESS controls, EVSE hardware, and site monitoring platforms
