CHS Inc. is seeking an Energy Sales Intern in Mitchell, SD for Summer 2027. The intern will shadow the Certified Energy Specialist (CES) and learn to drive sales, profitability, and customer service within CHS energy programs and Cenex brand.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an energy, agriculture, or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist (CES)
• Learn about increasing sales/profitability for the cooperative through sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products and cooperative services
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers/potential customers
• Learn about CHS energy programs including Cenex Brand
• Attend sales calls and in-person meetings for commercial business with the CES
• Spend time with energy service team to understand their role in the operation
• Ride along with a propane route driver to learn coordination with the service team and CES
• Observe how the Energy Manager oversees energy operations for safety, productivity and efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
