Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Risk Analyst to support various trade desks by performing business analytics and measuring exposure to commodity prices. This role offers interaction with traders and senior management to ensure pricing, hedging and risk evaluation techniques are applied and monitored across energy markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, accounting or related field.
• 2-5 years of related experience.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and report market price risks daily for assets, contracts, and derivatives.
• Determine market-price risk positions and collaborate with trade desks to minimize exposure.
• Validate end-of-day curves and mark-to-market of forward positions.
• Analyze P&L and position drivers across trading books of energy commodities and financial instruments.
• Identify and resolve issues on daily position and P&L reporting.
• Communicate and resolve risk limit breaches appropriately.
• Support requests from internal and external auditors.
• Maintain margin requirements with clearing banks.
• Work with IT on risk-system improvements and testing enhancements.
• Ensure exchange and regulatory compliance (ICE, CME, CFTC, FERC).
