Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a Risk Analyst to support various trade desks by performing business analytics and assessing exposure to commodity prices. The role offers interaction with traders and senior management to ensure pricing, hedging, and risk methods are applied and monitored.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–5 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with risk systems. Office-based work with occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, accounting or related field.
• 2-5 years of related experience.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and report market price risks daily across assets and contracts.
• Determine market-price risk positions and coordinate with trade desks to minimize exposure.
• Validate end-of-day curves in the risk system and mark-to-market forward positions.
• Analyze P&L and position drivers across trading books for energy commodities and financial instruments.
• Identify and resolve issues in daily position and P&L reporting.
• Communicate and resolve risk limit breaches appropriately.
• Support requests from internal and external auditors.
• Maintain margin requirements with clearing banks.
• Collaborate with IT on risk system enhancements and testing.
• Ensure compliance with ICE, CME, CFTC and FERC requirements.
