Job summary

GPTech is seeking Resource Efficiency Managers (REM) to support the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).

The REM will work at DOD facilities worldwide, supporting federal energy managers in achieving the energy management requirements as specified in energy laws, regulations, policy, guidance, and directives. Responsibilities include facility energy management activities, data analysis, and training; you will identify infrastructure energy improvements to reduce energy and water use, support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional facility energy management experience.
• Active Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) credential from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
• Professional writing and verbal skills.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software and spreadsheet-based engineering calculations.
• Proficiency with software tools for research, analysis, reporting, communications, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Promote energy and water conservation and manage installation utility resources.
• Research and identify energy savings projects.
• Incorporate energy efficiency measures into new construction, renovations, and operations; support project management activities.
