Job summary

Dow Jones Energy in Houston seeks an Energy Market Analyst to support the Chemical Market Analytics (CMA) team. You will publish market reports, create client presentations, and gather data from industry sources while coordinating with international product experts.

You will manage multiple projects, update Excel models, and build PowerPoint materials for meetings. A background in chemical engineering or related science, plus 1–2 years in market research or analytics and proficiency with Power

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience in market research, data analytics, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Power BI and Python for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to troubleshoot Python code
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with ThinkCell or similar add-in (considered a strong plus)
  • Degree in Chemical engineering, chemistry, natural science (preferred) or related discipline -OR- equivalent work experience

About the Role:

As Energy Market Analyst, you will support Dow Jones Energy’s Chemical Market Analytics (CMA) team in the publication of market reports, client/conference presentations, and project work. You will interact with clients in providing data, information, and training on the CMA website and online databases. You will conduct research and collect data from industry associations and other data providers. You will assist with the maintenance of the chemical capacity database. You will also work closely with teams of international product experts and colleagues from other product areas. You will report to the Research Coordinator - Team Lead.

You Will:
  • Gather and maintain data from external sources for market analysis

You Have:

Base Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000
