Job summary

PPG's Circleville, Ohio plant is seeking an Energy Recovery Unit Specialist to operate the ERU and ensure consistent, quality feed and energy recovery. You will work a rotating 4-shift cycle including afternoon, overnight, and day shifts, with a multi-day off pattern to maintain continuous operation.

Qualifications

• Qualified journeyman in industrial craft (pipefitter, electrician, HVAC, automotive ASE, etc.)
• 2–4 years general industrial mechanical experience
• Capable of obtaining a high‑pressure boiler operator's license within one year

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in the utility center and incineration train after the kiln elevator
• Monitor operation via control systems, cameras, and schedules to feed waste to the kiln
• Take boiler feed water and containment water samples, run tests, adjust treatment
• Manage hose setups, blending waste in storage tanks, feed incineration to the kiln
• Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment life
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
