PennTAP at Penn State University seeks an Energy Quality Specialist to lead quality assurance, standardize assessment reports, and ensure accurate, credible energy analyses for manufacturers and industrial clients across Pennsylvania.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the role supports staff development, technical mentoring, and continuous improvement of energy assessment services with a focus on reliability and client value.

Formación

• Master's degree preferred in engineering or energy-related field.
• Experience reviewing energy assessments, reports, and calculations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and QA skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to interpret engineering data, standards, and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with mentorship ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Review energy assessment reports, calculations, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Verify that recommendations and savings estimates are supported by data, engineering principles, and standards.
• Evaluate energy conservation measures (ECMs) and process improvement opportunities for technical validity.
• Identify quality issues and provide feedback to advisors to improve deliverables.
• Research and resolve complex technical challenges and consult industry resources as needed.
• Elevate significant technical or policy issues requiring broader program guidance.
• Develop and maintain QA procedures, review protocols, templates, calculators, and tools.
• Establish standardized review processes, documentation, and reporting expectations.
• Monitor quality trends and recommend process improvements.
• Promote consistency in methodologies and reporting practices across the energy team.
• Implement best practices that improve efficiency and credibility.
