Energy Land & Infrastructure, LLC (ELI) seeks a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to support PMs on energy infrastructure projects in Manassas, VA or Raleigh, NC. The role blends engineering with leadership, budgeting, and client communications.

You will coordinate day-to-day activities, assist with planning and execution, review designs and calculations, and mentor junior staff. A PE is preferred and 5–10 years of relevant experience is expected; growth toward PM/Technical Lead is

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Experience with pipeline, facilities, compressor/regulator stations, terminals.
• Familiarity with permitting tasks (DOT, railroad, local agencies).
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Ability to lead junior staff and CAD production.
• Proven ability to manage tasks to schedule and budget.
• Willingness to obtain PE license within two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
• Own and manage tasks assigned by the Project Manager, ensuring deliverables on time and within budget.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities to maintain project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Support technical design and reviews for oil and gas facilities and related infrastructure.
• Prepare and review calculations, plans, specs, reports, and construction packages.
• Coordinate with engineering, survey, environmental, permitting, and ROW teams.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, action items, and risks.
• Participate in client meetings; host occasionally; assist with proposals, scopes, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Support QA/QC and construction-phase engineering.
• Work with PMs and SMEs; direct junior engineers and CAD staff.
• Perform additional duties as required.
