Job summary

PG&E in Oakland is seeking a candidate to join the Energy Transactions & Solicitations team within the Structured Energy Transactions group. The role supports procurement solicitations and negotiation of power purchase agreements, contributing to commercial excellence in energy procurement.

You will work across teams including Energy Settlements, Law, Risk, and Regulatory Affairs to advance procurement objectives while learning PG&E's processes and market opportunities in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with coursework in a business-related field, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent
• One year of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of procurement needs for wholesale energy portfolio and regulatory landscape
• Ability to lead negotiations and develop procurement products and contract documents
• Strong data presentation and communication capabilities to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Supports project management of all solicitations
• Assists in negotiating terms and conditions of power purchase/sale agreements
• Supports drafting strategy papers, PRG presentations, and testimony
• Builds and manages relationships with market entities
• Evaluates offers from solicitations and negotiations and analyzes them
• Contributes to strategy development and cross-functional issue resolution
