Job summary

NRG energy services deploys Retail Sales Associates in Walmart Cortland, OH to engage consumers and promote energy plans. This role offers paid training, uncapped commissions, and a first-sale bonus, with daily pay options and advancement opportunities.

There is no door-to-door or telemarketing involved; you’ll work in a team, meet sales quotas, and help customers reduce energy costs while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Sell products and services in a retail store, kiosk, and/or event environments.
• Maintain professional interaction with customers and fellow employees.
• Meet or exceed personal sales goals monthly.
• Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance.
• Direct customers by escorting displays; assess needs and suggest products.
• Advise customers by providing information on products and services.
• Help customers make selections by building confidence.
• Accurately document and report sales.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Track and communicate all activity to Retail Operations.
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Submit all paperwork completely and accurately.
