Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to join the Energy & Power team across the country. You’ll apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, supporting engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for energy projects.

You’ll be mentored by Professional Engineers, work on piping and equipment sizing, stress analysis, flow modeling, and life cycle cost evaluations, with opportunities to progress from basic design tasks to more complex projects

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related ABET-accredited program.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and energy/power software is a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering calculations, drawings and specifications for energy and power projects.
  • Assist with piping and equipment sizing, stress analysis and flow modeling.
  • Contribute to energy analysis and life cycle cost evaluations.
  • Help ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of assigned work.
  • Progress from basic design tasks to more complex projects with guidance from engineers.
