Energy Performance Services, Account Executive - Remote / MD, PA, DE, VA, WVA, and DC

Our Smart Buildings division helps create efficient, safe, adaptable, and responsible environments. Our goal isn't just to improve buildings but to create perfect places that enhance people's lives.

The Energy Performance Services Account Executive manages and expands the EPS business across the East Coast. Your responsibilities include identifying market needs, developing sales strategies aligned with customer objectives, and crafting solutions to improve clients' facilities, operations, and profitability. The sales team collaborates across Siemens divisions and local branches to position Siemens as a preferred provider for demand-side and supply-side energy programs, including building retrofit, performance contracting, and Distributed Energy Systems (DES) projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining C-level relationships within assigned accounts and developing sales funnels with cross-divisional teams.
  2. Managing sophisticated deals independently within guidelines, understanding customer financial and business goals, and defining infrastructure solutions.
  3. Securing customer contracts and developing financing options to facilitate project advancement.
  4. Collaborating with operations, finance, legal, and other teams to ensure smooth project transitions and high customer satisfaction.
  5. Supporting marketing efforts through customer communications and outreach.
  6. Participating in professional organizations, workshops, and seminars to stay current on market trends and customer needs.
  7. Preparing needs assessments, proposals, sales activity reports, and forecasts.
  8. Traveling up to 70%, with 10% for training.

Qualifications required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business.
  2. 8+ years of executive consultative selling experience with complex solutions or financial transactions related to construction.
  3. Strong understanding of customer business drivers and negotiation skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English.
  5. Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications include:

  1. Master's Degree.
  2. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
  3. Experience in software, IoT, networking, distributed energy, energy financing, utility regulations, or EPC development.
