Austin Energy seeks an Energy Market Supervisor to lead staff in wholesale energy marketing, QSE trading, and market operations in Austin, TX.

You will ensure ERCOT and NERC compliance, develop policies, and represent Austin Energy to ERCOT and partners; a critical role with opportunity to shape market strategies.

This full-time position requires a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience; salary range reflects market competitiveness.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree plus six years of related work experience; Master’s may substitute for up to one year; PhD may substitute for up to two years.
• Knowledge of ERCOT and NERC operating protocols and guidelines.
• Experience in supervising staff in wholesale energy markets and QSE trading.

Mansioni

• Supervise staff in wholesale energy marketing, dispatching, market systems, analysis, and risk management.
• Oversee QSE trading operations including day-ahead, real-time, and forward markets; ensure ERCOT/NERC compliance.
• Develop policies, processes, and tools to support wholesale market operations and represent Austin Energy to ERCOT and industry partners.
