Job summary

GPTech seeks an Energy Manager to support facility energy management activities, including utility data management and reporting, energy meter data analysis, and building automation project support for the U.S. Air Force at Westover ARB, near Springfield, MA. Occasional travel within the U.S.

and background checks are required. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Engineering (or related field), 5+ years energy management experience, and a CEM or

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship with ability to pass a background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree in ME/EE/Energy Eng or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of facility energy management experience.
  • Active CEM or CEA credential from the AEE.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and spreadsheet-based calculations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Quality control, auditing and analysis/reporting of utility bills.
  • Analyze energy meter data to benchmark building performance.
  • Support Air Force, DoD, and federal energy reporting requirements.
  • Support building automation and energy management systems.
  • Provide training to federal staff.
  • Engage in client meetings relevant to assigned work scope.
  • Develop reports and briefings on investments and decisions.
  • Stay current on industry developments.
  • Coordinate with GPTech leads for project management and contracts.
