Job summary

South Texas College's Facilities Maintenance team seeks an Energy Technician to maintain and repair energy management systems and BAS district-wide. You will assist in preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, use CMMS to log work, and install/ troubleshoot EMS components to ensure comfort and efficiency across campuses.

Qualifications

• College certificate or minimum 30 earned college hours.
• At least two years of commercial/residential energy management experience.
• At least two years of BAS experience/knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive maintenance for the Energy Management System (EMS).
• Respond to equipment failures and report to Energy Management Specialist.
• Use CMMS to log time spent and work performed on requests.
• Install energy management and monitoring devices.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the EMS district-wide.
• Monitor BAS district-wide and adjust as needed.
• Respond to emergencies affecting HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
