Responsibilities

  • Represent energy companies and public utilities in complex litigation and regulatory disputes.
  • Handle matters involving electric utilities, energy markets, infrastructure, and related issues.
  • Assist with all phases of litigation: case strategy, discovery, motions, hearings, trial prep.
  • Analyze complex legal/regulatory issues and develop practical client strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and clients to effectively manage matters.
  • Develop client relationships and provide responsive, business-focused legal advice.
  • Participate in business development and client-relations initiatives.

What you’ll do:
  • Represent energy companies and public utilities in complex litigation and regulatory-related disputes.
  • Handle matters involving electric utilities, energy markets, infrastructure, and other issues affecting the energy industry.
  • Assist with all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Analyze complex legal and regulatory issues and develop practical strategies for clients.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to effectively manage litigation matters.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and provide responsive, business-focused legal advice.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives.
What you will need:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing energy litigation.
  • Experience representing public utility companies is strongly preferred.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A client-focused approach and the ability to understand and respond to clients' business objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing matters independently.
  • Demonstrated interest in developing long-term client relationships and participating in business development activities.
