Job summary

Clifford Chance's Houston office is seeking a talented junior associate to join its Corporate Transactions & Advisory team.

The successful candidate will work with leading practitioners on a broad range of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments, with emphasis on energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar in good standing or eligible to waive into the Texas Bar.
• At least two years of law firm experience focused on corporate transactions.
• Experience advising on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, or strategic investments.
• Ability to independently manage transaction workstreams while coordinating with colleagues across practice areas.
• Strong commercial awareness of energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
• Experience with cross-border transactions and coordinating with international teams is a plus.
• Strong research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transaction documents and management of due diligence.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
