BTIG seeks a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join the Energy & Infrastructure team in Texas (Dallas or Houston). The Analyst will support senior bankers across M&A, equity and debt capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments in domestic and international transactions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or closely related field.
• Prior exposure to Energy, Infrastructure, or Oil & Gas sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and M&A processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data platforms and industry tools is advantageous.
• Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a lean deal team; manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
• Licenses such as SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 preferred or obtainable shortly after joining.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze complex financial models (DCF, NAV for E&P, LBO, accretion/dilution, comps).
• Assist in day‑to‑day execution of M&A and capital markets transactions with internal teams, counsel, and clients.
• Prepare marketing materials: CIMs, pitch books, management presentations, board materials.
• Conduct in‑depth research on domestic and international energy markets and trends.
• Manage data rooms and due diligence for active transactions; review technical and financial docs.
• Communicate with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and other advisors; participate in client meetings.
