Job summary

Commonwealth-Associates,-In is seeking a mid-level CAD Designer/Technician to support engineering teams on energy infrastructure projects. Under supervision, you will create and modify deliverables using standard practices and document control processes, and may guide junior designers.

You will study project standards, apply the Quality Program, and design drawings, models, or plans based on inputs. You’ll also perform dimensional checks and help estimate material needs as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional drafting experience.
• Preference for electric utility industry experience.
• Proficient with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Study company standards and document control policies.
• Follow the Quality Program to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Design and create project deliverables (drawings, models, plans).
• Perform dimensional checks and estimate material needs.
• Coordinate tasks among project teams and improve design methods.
• Support internal team needs while learning external client operations.
