Job summary

NextDecade in Houston, Texas, invites motivated undergraduates or graduates to join a 10-week Summer Internship in Finance, Accounting or Investor Relations. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while engaging with leaders across the organization.

You will work on real projects, develop analytical dashboards, and learn how a publicly traded energy company operates within the Rio Grande LNG project context.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting activities.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Conduct data analysis and develop reports for business leaders.
• Assist with forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Support internal controls, audit preparation, and accounting research.
• Analyze capital and operating expenditures for major infrastructure projects.
• Support investor relations activities and develop communication materials.
• Contribute to corporate strategy projects and performance dashboards.
