To join our team as an Energy Engineer III! Support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. Lead design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develop plans and reports that contribute to the success of client programs. Write and review technical documents, publications, and conduct quality reviews. Provide project oversight, quality control/assurance, and keep customers and team members updated. Support business development efforts and seek new project opportunities.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

  • Calculate energy savings for projects using principles of physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
  • Perform key responsibilities of ‘Energy Engineer II’ and;
  • Lead complex technical work independently with minimal supervision, including:
  • Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects beyond deemed savings
  • Oversee calculator development and measure configurations within our database
  • Perform ASHRAE Level II audits at large commercial and industrial facilities; author IPMVP-compliant plans and reports
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for large-scale programs
  • Provide technical guidance and training to program teams
  • Be a subject matter expert in at least two technical areas
  • Author work papers for new energy measures with oversight
  • Oversee technical feedback for filings, utility documents, and evaluations; recommend actions
  • Develop project scopes under management oversight
  • Collaborate with clients and evaluators on project issues

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 5-10+ years of experience
  • BS in Engineering
  • PE license preferred

Target Compensation

$85,000 - $95,000

This is a safety-sensitive position that may include field work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes, warehouse work, or driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and have a satisfactory driving record. A valid driver’s license is required, and ongoing employment depends on maintaining a clean driving record.
