Overview:
Our client is a professional services company seeking to expand its presence in the Indianapolis Energy Services market.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead energy audits and retro-commissioning activities, including identifying energy savings measures, calculating savings, estimating costs, and preparing assessment reports.
- Identify and develop cost-saving opportunities and capital upgrades related to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water-consuming equipment and fixtures, and the building envelope.
- Create formal documentation such as memorandums, reports, and status updates.
- Possess good knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, variable speed drives, motors, and have a working knowledge of HVAC design.
- Manage and deliver projects with minimal guidance, including designing, developing, and implementing efficiency or commissioning projects.
- Build alliances and influence decision-makers at all levels.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, CEA, CLEP, etc., are preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of controls, HVAC, lighting, electrical systems, and building envelope design and application.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes and sales cycles.
- Experience in technical or proposal writing.
- Extensive knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, energy auditing, and use of engineering software, measurement and verification, project cost estimation, and experience with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of building simulation tools like Visual DOE, Trace, Carrier E20, eQuest is a plus.
