Job summary

CSA Group is seeking a Product Test Engineer in Cleveland, OH to support the Energy Efficiency Verification (EEV) Fuel-Burning group. You will conduct testing on water heaters, boilers, and furnaces, handling setup, operation, data collection, and report generation.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and up to 4+ years of related experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. On-site work with occasional travel supports audits and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; 0–4+ years experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC products is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy efficiency and performance testing of fuel-burning appliances per standards and procedures.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Collect, analyze, and validate test data; prepare detailed test reports within timelines.
• Coordinate multiple testing projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and productivity.
• Travel as needed to support audits and witness testing at manufacturer facilities.
