Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking an Energy Efficiency Technician to act as a local on-site representative educating residential customers on Energy Waste Reduction, installing basic energy-efficient equipment, and inspecting homes for insulation, air sealing, and HVAC upgrades in the greater Metro Detroit area. This four-day, 10‑hour work week includes a company van, a clean driving record, and no overnight travel.

Training is provided; work involves travel within a defined territory and serves to save

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree with relevant industry technical certification/training preferred.
• BPI Certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and various software.

Responsibilities

• Be a professional and enjoy customer service.
• Be organized and maintain equipment and company vehicle (good driving record too).
• Climb ladders up to 10’ and lift / carry 50 lbs.
• Conduct installation of basic residential energy efficiency upgrades – training provided.
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client specifications – training provided.
• Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness of products.
• Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze and resolve issues.
