Job summary

Public Service Electric & Gas Co. (PSEG) is hiring an Energy Efficiency Program Support Manager in Newark for a hybrid role that blends remote and onsite work with at least three days on site.

• B.S. Degree in Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or other relevant field or equivalent work experience plus 7 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, vendor management, project management, or related fields.
• In lieu of a degree, 11 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, vendor management, project management, or related field.
• Experience managing vendor performance, and leading cross-functional teams; Energy Efficiency, Demand Response or Electric Vehicle program experience
• Management/leadership experience working with cross-functional teams
• Possess and maintain a valid U.S. Driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
• MBA or Advanced Degree
• PE and PMP

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of vendor(s), both office and field, that have been contracted to deliver program services
• Manage employee and contractor performance; ensure safety protocols and practices are followed
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other CES members, other internal teams and joint utility teams etc, as required to deliver program services, enhance program delivery/customer experience and resolve business issues
• Ensure accurate invoice processing. Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible
• Monitor program Key Performance Indicators to ensure program delivery meets business plan expectations and regulatory requirements
• Compile and analyze data from other jurisdictions to monitor best practices of program designs and related activities. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program
• Analyze performance results for management reports
• Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls
• During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations

Job Summary

At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered.

This role supports Senior Manager of Planning and Evaluation and is a first level leader, as a working supervisor, that can oversee up to 5 associates in the lower nomenclatures performing a broad range of program design duties and support in obtaining regulatory approvals. The position also requires significant work as an individual contributor on program design and the regulatory process. The successful candidate will work on the following activities; development and maintenance of a network of advocates that can be utilized to support various Company filings and initiatives, working in collaboration with other relationship managers as required, support the implementation and engineering teams in the review and potential inclusion of new technologies into customer projects, keeping abreast of new technologies and sharing information with CES team members; leading and contributing to cross functional teams both within PSE&G and across other NJ utilities to work on topics of common concern.
