Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation invites students to join its summer internship program in the Demand-Side Management (DSM) team. This role offers hands-on assignments, mentorship, and opportunities to network with peers across the company and industry.
You will collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support energy efficiency, electrification, and load management initiatives while gaining exposure to cross-functional projects and customer engagement.

DSM plays a vital role in supporting NewYork State’s transition to clean energy and building the grid of the future by designing and implementing energy efficiency, beneficial electrification, and load management programs.
Our programs provide education, outreach, incentives, and services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout Central Hudson’s territory.
Compensation is highly competitive, and our internship program also allows you to network with Central Hudson employees through various planned events and activities.
Majors from Business, Engineering, Energy Systems Management, Sustainability, Math, or Economics programs will be considered Candidates must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and currently be an undergraduate student working on their bachelor’s degree in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year. Graduate students working on their master’s degree will also be considered. Must have a valid driver’s license.
The wage for this position is $21/hour.
