Job summary

Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. offers a summer internship program for students pursuing degrees in business administration, public policy, public administration, political science, economics and related fields.

Under guidance from mentors, you will support regulatory project management tasks and gain hands-on industry experience in a dynamic utility environment. Qualifications include a 3.0 GPA, status as an undergraduate, or eligibility of graduate students.

Qualifications

  • Students enrolled in business administration, public policy, public administration, political science, economics and related programs will be considered.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and currently be an undergraduate student working on their bachelor’s degree in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.
  • Graduate students working on their master’s degree will also be considered.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory project management activities under supervision.
  • Gain hands-on experience by collaborating with professionals in the utility industry.
  • Participate in networking events and activities organized by Central Hudson.

Education

Pursuing bachelor’s degree (freshman/sophomore/junior)
Master’s degree candidates considered

Job description

This is a summer internship opportunity for students interested in regulatory project management to gain valuable, real-life experience working side by side with professionals at Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation – a leader in the dynamic, rapidly evolving electric & natural gas utility industry. Central Hudson’s internship program blends real world experience with an extensive overview of the utility industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands‑on work experience. Compensation is highly competitive, and our internship program also allows you to network with Central Hudson employees through various planned events and activities.

Qualifications
  • Students enrolled in business administration, public policy, public administration, political science, economics and related programs will be considered
  • Candidates must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and currently be an undergraduate student working on their bachelor’s degree in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.
  • Graduate students working on their master’s degree will also be considered
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year until all positions are filled.
  • The wage for this position is $21.00/hour.
