Job summary

Walker-Miller Energy Services is seeking an IQ Field Technician to install energy-efficient equipment in residential and small commercial sites. You will travel to pre-scheduled appointments, explain applicable incentive programs, and ensure installations meet quality standards.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1–3 years in related technical work, and strong customer service skills. Occasional weekend travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in basic wiring, lighting, construction, HVAC, troubleshooting and/or related technologies.
• 1–2 years of customer service/sales experience required.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Experience in installing technologies, manual labor and using tools preferred.
• Background in building science, building envelope, weatherization or related fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install energy efficient equipment and products at pre-scheduled appointments.
• Travel to apartments, condo units and other building types.
• Maintain professional appearance and align with client standards.
• Meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Complete special projects and required paperwork.
• Explain incentive programs to customers as applicable.
• Perform safety tests and follow program procedures.
• Collaborate with team to improve operations.
