Job summary

PEG, LLC is seeking motivated individuals to learn Energy Sustainability and Building Energy Performance for new residential construction. The role involves becoming a certified HERS Rater and performing Home Energy Audits within a 100-mile radius centered on Augusta, GA.

On-the-job training is provided to perform audits per RESNET guidelines, including data collection, equipment testing, and reporting. Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HERS Rater and Energy Star/RESNET certifications are a plus.
• 2 years of work experience in HVAC, home remodeling or construction is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET/Energy Star guidelines including visual inspections.
• Collect data and observe energy efficient features; note model/serial numbers.
• Test performance with blower door, ventilation, duct leakage, and air flow tests.
• Prepare electronic audit reports and necessary internal paperwork.
• Develop relationships with builders and code officials through professional communication.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and travel within the assigned area daily.
