Energy Efficiency Consultant – Home Insulation Air Sealing

Locations: Remote candidates must be located in either the Rochester, NY or Binghamton, NY areas.

We are seeking an Account Manager for our Utility Programs and Services (UPS) division to grow ICF’s energy market-rate insulation and air sealing programs. Responsibilities include supporting energy efficiency programs, building client relationships, and implementing program strategies, marketing, and recruitment efforts.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure successful execution of client-sponsored energy projects, maintain tracking spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparing internal and client-facing presentations.
• Provide outreach, technical assistance, and guidance to contractors, retailers, and distributors within utility service territories, promoting energy-efficient technologies to residential markets. Must communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to evolving program strategies, design features, services, and marketing campaigns.
• Prepare status reports on outreach activities and monitor progress towards program goals.
• Conduct or coordinate quality assurance activities to verify incentive applications and installed measures.
• Attend promotional events; travel up to 20% within the Rochester/Binghamton areas, with mileage reimbursement.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Building Science, Construction, Environmental Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, utility programs, or related fields.
• Valid driver’s license and successful MVR check.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of insulation, air sealing, building load estimation, Home Performance methodologies, heat pumps.
• Experience in the Northeast energy efficiency market, especially Upstate NY.
• Experience working with successful energy efficiency programs and trade allies in similar markets.
