Kanza Cooperative is seeking an Energy Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for safely transporting and delivering refined fuels, propane, and lubricants, while delivering outstanding customer service.

The position also includes performing routine vehicle maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations and upholding safety protocols and schedules. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and values teamwork, communication, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; mechanical aptitude a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks and deliver energy products to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries and complaints.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance; report issues to management.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time per requirements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and government regulations; maintain a clean, professional appearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, questions, and complaints with patience and respect.
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of energy products to customers and businesses.
• Follow directions and navigate routes efficiently for travel.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of energy products.
• Safely load and unload trucks.
• Accurately fill and label tanks, barrels, and totes.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure the integrity of the bulk plant.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, in compliance with all requirements.
• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues to management.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety protocols and government regulations.
• Provide exceptional service by managing challenging situations, responding quickly to customer needs, and resolving complaints promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to support company goals.
• Attend training sessions to enhance job skills.
• Participate in safety and training meetings.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, employees, and management.
• Uphold safety awareness and consistently follow safety policies, procedures, and reporting protocols.
• Comply with all state and federal laws, codes, and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with energy products is preferred, as well as strong communication, customer service skills, and mechanical aptitude.

Certificates, Licenses, and Additional Requirements:
A valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with Tanker and HazMat endorsements is required. Candidates must also possess or be able to obtain and maintain LP Certification. A clean driving record, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to lift and handle heavy materials are essential. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and schedules.
