Job Summary
To provide delivery, sales, and service: to AV Energy customers in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
Summary of Essential Functions
- Deliver refined fuel and propane in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.
- Design, install, inspect and maintain bulk delivery locations.
- Set and maintain company owned tanks.
- Work in Shop as scheduled, including bulk packaging, servicing trucks and equipment; office procedures and any duties included to the efficient operation of the fuel delivery facility.
- Promote customer service and sell new programs and services to existing and new customers.
- Understand operation and maintenance of tools and vehicles needed for bulk delivery and service and follows company policies and procedures on same.
- Inspect and maintain bulk plants and structures associated with propane and refined fuel operation.
- Update mapping and assigns location numbers and routes deliveries for maximum efficiency.
- Maintains delivery and service log sheet.
- Must be able to properly load, unload, and secure cargo including all related duties.
- All other duties as assigned
Credit and Collections:
- Counsels and advises customers on credit, collections, payment plans, and related matters.
- Periodically reviews customer accounts and takes appropriate action.
- Reviews and recommends changes to credit and collection procedures.
Key Competencies:
- Must be able to accurately and legibly, complete all required paperwork associated with the delivery.
- Must be able to maintain daily record of duty status in accordance with Federal, State and company requirements.
- Must be able to read, understand and apply information relating to trip planning for delivery of product.
- Must be able to appraise, evaluate, and adequately respond to environmental strain and emotional stress.
- Any and all other task assigned by management for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Safety:
- Promotes safe working habits and follows all safety rules and regulations adopted by the Company, including the wearing and use of protective equipment.
- Keeps informed of changes concerning company procedures, federal, state, and local laws and takes appropriate action to stay in compliance with said rules and regulations.
- Attain a working knowledge of applicable industry standards.
- Operates vehicles and/or equipment; in a safe manner within the regulations of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Takes corrective action on defective vehicles; equipment, tools, materials and supplies.
- Immediately advises supervisor of accidents.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Kansas Driver’s License, with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. over four feet high.
- Must be able to repeatedly bend at the waist and neck, twist and rotate hands, wrist, shoulders, elbows, and forearms.
- Must be able to climb to a height of 4-15 ft.
- Must be able to hook and unhook various hose combinations, and open/close valves and manholes.
