This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

This position pays between $95,360.00 to $119,200.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

This position requires statewide travel. This position may be located in our Albuquerque, NM or Roswell, NM office.

We’re seeking a strategic and customer-focused Energy Contracts Manager to lead the development of innovative energy solutions and performance contracts that drive long-term value for both our customers and our company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains a high level of regular interaction with key clients, in particular with decision makers, to gain full understanding of their business goals, operations, challenges and project requirements to ensure that our solutions meet their goals. Makes marketing presentations to clients and present technical information to non-technical audiences. Provides project-specific and program-level briefings aimed at key leadership positions within branches of the federal government and other decision-makers.
  • Works independently and in a team environment to ensure that all potential opportunities investigated.
  • Develop RFPs, statements of work and negotiate contracts for small to multimillion dollar Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC) for military bases, national laboratories, and other government projects.
  • Supports the development and analyses of new business arrangements for gas supply to new electric generating stations and Combined Heat and Power projects (CHP) for large commercial customers.
  • Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares analyses and information to be presented to senior management for approval of multimillion dollar projects.
  • Functions as project leader on the development of new marketing programs and initiatives to promote customer growth and new business ventures that increase revenues and throughput, including but not limited to fuel gas, bio methane/RNG, hydrogen and carbon capture.
  • Provides input and direction on the development of business plans, programs, products, and services that impact large customers.
  • Participates in external business associations, including CNG and LEEDS, and activities to promote the Company’s goals and objectives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with large customers, architects, engineering firms, trade allies and other organizations.
  • Works with other departments to identify and solicit economical new large commercial and industrial customers.
  • Stays current on technology, including high efficiency equipment, conservation measures, and environmental issues; assesses customer operations and energy use and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies to new and existing customers.
Successful Candidate Must Have
  • A High school diploma
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • 3 years of gas industry experience in related field.
  • Preferences: A Bachelor's degree, an Energy Management Certification and/or Facilities Management Certification, and 5 years of gas industry experience in a related field.
Working Conditions

This position requires statewide travel. Company car will be provided. Must have a good driving record. Employee will perform duties in an office as well as an outdoor environment. This position requires standing, some climbing, walking and sitting for extended periods
