Job summary

Sunoco LP offers a twelve-week paid internship beginning May 2027 for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The internship on the Unbranded team provides hands-on exposure to Sunoco’s fuel business, focusing on government contracts, bid support, and operational coordination.

The intern will assist with reporting, research, and day-to-day activities while gaining practical industry experience and collaborating with team members across Supply, Dispatch, and Trading.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college - we’re open to candidates of all degrees – if you possess the intangibles above and the work sounds intriguing, we can teach you the rest
• Preferably junior status
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
• Above average GPA
• Distinctive problem solving skills and an intellectual curiosity to solve unique and oftentimes complex problems

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Unbranded team to learn Sunoco’s fuel business and contracting processes
• Assist with researching and tracking government and commercial bid opportunities at the local, state, and national levels
• Support the review and organization of RFP and RFQ documents, including bid requirements and pricing structures
• Help prepare bid packages and supporting documentation for internal review
• Work with internal teams such as Supply, Dispatch, and Trading to gather information for bid submissions
• Assist with compiling metrics and reports for business tracking and optimization
• Support communication efforts once contracts are awarded by helping coordinate next steps with internal stakeholders
• Assist with scheduling, work orders, and maintaining organized files and records
• Help respond to routine inquiries under supervision
