Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineering intern to support the Consulting group, with emphasis on renewable energy, storage, and utility planning. You will collaborate with the Consulting Business Group, assist in due diligence, feasibility studies, and develop conceptual designs for utility-scale projects.

The role enhances hands-on experience in AC power systems, energy storage, and project execution while building professional communication and reporting skills in a leading power industry

Qualifications

  • Pursuing either a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least six semesters or equivalent quarters completed at an accredited university.
  • Experience and/or coursework in AC power systems, renewable energy, battery energy storage, or in the power industry with basic understanding of power generation, substation, and transmission in the U.S. Bulk Electric System.
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.2.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Consulting proposals, marketing materials, technical presentations, and white papers.

This position has a target start date of Summer 2027. Sargent & Lundy is one of the largest and most experienced power industry engineering and consulting firms. This intern position is to support the continued growth of the Sargent & Lundy Consulting group, particularly in renewable energy, battery energy storage, dispatchable gas generation, and utility planning / advisory practice areas.

This Position Will Give You The Opportunity To

Compensation Range

$62,998 - $90,586
