Job summary

Conservation Legacy is seeking Energy Communities AmeriCorps VISTA members for in-person service in Eastern Kentucky. Positions start Fall 2024 and run for one year with a daily living allowance and access to a wide network of opportunities.

Members assess community needs, identify supports, and develop strategic plans to advance environmental stewardship and economic revitalization across energy transition areas.

Qualifications

• Skills will vary by community needs, but may include: Environment, Community Organization, Leadership, Public Speaking, Non-Profit Management, Conflict Resolution.

Responsibilities

• The VISTA member will assess and develop an asset map of existing community supports and new federal opportunities available to the community.
• The VISTA will identify organizations serving the community, and build partnerships and coalitions to align resources.
• The VISTA will develop strategic plans utilizing community input to identify anti-poverty initiatives needed by the community.
