Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an Energy Center Technician in Facilities Management in Florida. The role operates and maintains energy center equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, and related controls to support reliable operations.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of power plant experience, ability to read prints/diagrams, and proficiency with Windows-based software. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are preferred.
Facilities Management
The Energy Center Technician operates and maintains, without supervision, all Energy Center equipment to include all equipment pertinent to the generation of steam, such as boilers, de-aerator tank, flash tanks, feed water pumps, gas valves / regulators, fuel oil pumps / regulators, etc., as well as, operating and maintaining chillers, chilled water pumps and controls, condenser cooling towers and all valves and controls used for operation of the emergency generators, medical air compressors, medical vacuum pumps and related equipment. The ideal candidate has the knowledge and understanding of proper water treatment testing and procedures for both chilled water and steam generating equipment, and operating knowledge of building automation/energy management and fire alarm monitoring/control systems.
